How To Get The Whole Family Out Cycling

By Nancy Sathre-Vogel

If you are wanting to get out on your bike with your children, you have quite a few options available to help you do that. Choose what works for your family!

If your child is small (under about six years old), you will mostly likely have him attached to your bike in some manner. Trailers, trailer bikes, tandems, or a coupler to connect a child's bike to yours are the options you'll be choosing from.

A trailer is wonderful in that the child can sleep when he wants, can play with toys while you are riding, and can be easily protected from the elements. In addition, the trailer may provide additional space for gear.

Trailers aren't perfect though; there are some disadvantages. Many parents find their children sleep all day in the trailer and then want to play all night when the parents need to sleep. Also, some children can get frustrated that they are not part of the team helping to propel the bike.

Trailer bikes are one-wheeled contraptions that attach to the back of your bike. Your child will be able to pedal when he feels like it and rest when he wants. Some trailer bikes come with gears, which is highly recommended so your child can help pedal up hills. This option has the advantage in that the child feels he is helping with the workload. When you reach the top of a hill, he knows he's helped and can be proud of his accomplishments. He is a member of a team and takes full credit for victories won.

The down side to trailer bikes is that the child is very exposed to the elements. Even with proper rain gear, hands and feet are very difficult to protect when the weather turns bad. Another fear is that of falling asleep. Due to the gentle rocking motion of the bike, your child may nod off while riding.

A tandem is a great option for touring with children. Many of the advantages of the tandem are the same as for the trailer bike - being part of a team and being able to help out with the workload. But the tandem also has the advantage of pedaling in sync. As the pedals are hooked together, a child on the back of a tandem learns to pedal with a normal cadence and is more closely connected to the captain. You can carry on a conversation easier due to sheer proximity. In addition, the tandem is more rigid than a trailer bike so is a more efficient machine.

Disadvantages of the tandem are primarily price related. Tandems are not cheap. Besides that, the tandem is forever together and you can not simply disconnect it to run errands by yourself. Another disadvantage to tandems or bigger multiples is the hassle of shipping them - they are very much oversized and some airlines won't take them.

The last option for touring with small children is using a coupler that will connect a small child's bike on to the back of your bike. With this option, your child can ride on his own when safe, but can be connected to you when in traffic. The two connectors currently available are the Trail Gator Tow Bar and the Follow Me coupler.

A single bike may be a great option for an older child. Be sure to consider your child - physical strength, coordination, ability to be aware of surroundings, experience in traffic, and maturity. If your child is capable of controlling his own bike, it can be great for self esteem. If not, it can lead to disaster.

Many families have kids of varying ages, so find a combination of some sort works best for them. A tandem with a trailer works well, and the trailer bike companies are now making them so a trailer can be attached behind. It makes a long train, but allows a family to get out on tour - which is a good thing! - 32193

Schwinn Midmoor Men's Hybrid Bike

By Simon Johnson

I am very happy with the bike Schwinn Midmoor Men's Hybrid Bike. The bike is solid but relatively light. If anybody's looking for a step up from a basic ride-it-sometimes bike, this one is nice. If you're still only going to ride it sometimes, then why bother?

It's a little heavy to be called a road bike, which is probably why it's not, and I'm still wondering why exactly there needs to be a suspension (which must have added a fair share of useless weight). Also, the handlebar isn't as adjustable as most would like, and if you're 6 tall and one of those people who likes their legs to be fully extended when pedaling, it might not be possible on this bike. Frame feels very solid and strong, yet lightweight aluminum. After a professional tune-up (and the 2 components above replaced), the bike is handling great.

The gearshift is a great Shimano shifter (but not their nicest of course, this is a $240 bike). The gear mechanism changer is a standard Shimano touring, but still a Shimano. Very easy to put together. It's almost assembled. You will need to have the brake systems and gears set, and the wheel trued.

Schwinn Midmoor should be advertized as super bike. I added a solid comfy seat, rear and front lights, splash safeguards (I know they aren't pretty, but necessary on a commuter bicycle, and really looked pretty stable with it). I might even add a rear rack, since this is now my regular commuter bicycle. Once I poured some money in on fixture mentioned above, accessories and a tune-up, I love this bike.

I needed a good long-lasting bicycle simply to run local chores but once I started riding this bike I found myself taking longer and longer rides. Aluminium frame makes it light weight for this type of bicycle. The wheels/spokes give it a distinct look. The seat could have been softer, but other than that it's a great ride. I bought the bike in August and up to this point it has been totally trouble free.Schwinn Midmoor is a very solid bike for the money. Light, smooth ride and fast. - 32193

Green Machine 2 - Your Kid's Favourite Toy ?

By Freddy McCandless

From the notes received on the Green machine 2 and it's predecessors, it is apparent that they're definite favorites with children and will be a toy they return to repeatedly as they develop. In brief, the Green Machine 2 is a toy that will grow with your son or daughter as they get more confident with their physical abilities plus general co-ordination. This informative article will cover what the toy is and why it is a good present for children.

The Green machine 2 is the next generation tricycle. In short it is a big wheel tricycle aimed at young people 6 years and up (and adults aren't immune to the allure of the toy either). You would possibly think, what... a tricycle? That's for kids isn't it? Well, yes and no. You see this trike is turbo charged with features such that you would not recognize it as a plain old tricycle. In brief, it's a stunt tricycle that enables you to pull a mixture of stunts and maneuvers that will have the adrenaline flowing and have your friends howling and screaming for more.

The machine is made by Huffy who have a long tradition in making cycles as well as coming up with innovations in bike design and aesthetics (Do you remember the radio bike or more recently the bicycle fitted with water pistols). The Green machine 2 has a large front wheel (21 inch) that is the power source for the trike. Pedals and a crankshaft spin the wheel (provided you deliver a bit of leg power of course). You will get some pretty respectable momentum up on a flat track.

The innovation is in the steering. You will have a twin control, like the stick you can get in an airplane (only times 2). The twin control columns control the back wheels as well as a disk braking system on the front wheel.

By twiddling with the controls it is possible to execute 180, 360 and 540 degree turns. As the tricycle is so low to the ground plus the control system ensures that you keep the center of gravity over the machine in the middle, it is doubtful that you're going to flip or tip over too. As soon as a child develops just a little trust in the machine he/she will be able to do all kinds of stunts and will be eager to think up further tricks.

The Green Machine 2 will provide your children the opportunity to get a good amount of exercise and develop confidence in their capabilities. It beats the heck out of video games along with the trend towards wii fit as one way to get exercise. - 32193

Comfort Bike Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe (26-Inch Wheels) for Men

By Petar Ivanov

I am really happy with my buy of Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe Bike. I was looking for bicycle I could use riding to my working place. I like the classic forms of regular road bikes with stable, reliable gears mechanism so I can ride hills or trails. Super bike and this is a spectacular price. I saved lots of money on gas, and feeling healthier too! I bought the Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe and it works ideal for me.

I am avid bike rider for years so I wanted to have a hop on bike mostly for when I needed a relaxed bike to ride neighborhood paths and quick trips to the local store. Diamondback Deluxe bike has everything what I need. Wonderful handle bars, reliable brakes, comfortable seat. I've never had a more comfortable ride.

This is Diamondbacks top of the line comfort bicycle, the trigger shifters are a wonderful advantage over the handgrip shifters on worse models, as well as the chassis, derailleurs, and all other components. Generally this bicycle is dealing for what the whole lot steel model runs for, and is much better then it.

As long as it is assembled and tuned by a competent mechanic this will be great for leisure rides. Diamondback Wildwood Deluxe Bike is a best bike I have ever had, no question. Comfortable ride, smooth shifting. Also it was a great deal with free shipping.

I revel in the simple pleasure of riding this bicycle. The seat was a little squeaky, but after I lubricated the springs the noise went away. It was easy to get together. All in all I highly recommend this bicycle to anyone that will be using the bicycle in just a casual ride for sport and exercising. - 32193

Schwinn Roadster 12 Inch Trike Review

By Benjamin King

My bet is that if you are looking for more info on Schwinn Roadster 12 inch Trike you have probably seen one somewhere. That's the first thing that attracts people to that trike from Schwinn.

I must admit that that's how I discovered Schwinn trike myself. It was looking great and I decided to find out more about it. The more I was reading about it - the more I wanted to buy one.

After reading a lot about Schwinn I decided to write this article, to encourage you to buy one for your kid. Literally I can talk for hours why Schwinn roadster 12 inch trike is superior to other trikes on the market. Being a nice guy though I will mention the main three reasons I like it.

1. As I already said - Schwinn Roadster 12 Inch Trike looks great. I know that I am repeating myself but that's the fact. Need proof? Every time I go with him to the park for a ride people stop and ask me about the trike. What's more - kids chase my son, obviously jealous about the cool trike he has.

At the same time this Schwinn Roadster reminds me of the old Schwinn trikes from the time when I was a kid. There are no words to describe the feeling when I see that my kids like the things I liked when I was his age.

2. It is true that Schwinn Roadster resembles the old Schwinn bikes but it doesn't mean that the trike is old fashioned. As a matter of fact it is very contemporary and very well engineered. For one it is not made of plastic like most of the other trikes out there - even the more expensive ones. It has metal parts.

It has metal parts which makes it more durable. In short it means that it will last literally forever . Even if you have three kids it will last, you won't have to buy other tricycles. It means that you will be saving money in a big way.

3.Schwinn Roadster 12 Inch Trike is also safe. Because of its low center of gravity (the rear wheels are far apart from each other) it is almost impossible for kids to tip over. It is very important since no parent want his kids to be hurt in any way. Even for this feature alone Schwinn Roadster trike is well worth the money.

Since it is starting to become a very long article I will stop right here. If you want to know if Schwinn Roadster 12 Inch Trike is worth the money - yes. Go ahead and buy it. If you don't like it, you can always return it. - 32193

Suggestions On Where To Find New Or Used Bicycle Frames

By James Fraksburg

Whether you are looking to upgrade an old bicycle or custom build a new one of your own, it can be important to know where to find bicycle frames. There are many different ways for you to find a frame and make it yours. Here are a couple ideas to get you brainstorming on where and how to find good frames.

If you do not have an issue with spending your money on the frame, you can find many frames online. There are numerous sites where you can find and purchase quality frames. Depending on the sites that you choose to look at, the frames can be reasonable or expensive. If you look at sites that focus on custom frames, you are more likely to run into the expensive type.

Take a look at some online auctioning sites. These can be a great way to get a good frame for a small amount of money. Often times, people will sell their old bikes or their frames on these sites. The main goal is to find an auction that is a bargain. When you have found it, keep a watch on that auction and make sure that you win the frame that you have been waiting for.

Another option is to look at sporting good and bicycle shops in the area. There will be many frames here for you to choose from. If you have a decent budget, you won't have to worry about the price of the frame itself. You can just buy it and begin your work. However, if you do have to keep your budget in mind, consider the sales. These can be an option to get a good frame for a fraction of the cost.

Check out some consignment stores or second hand shops. These types of stores sometimes get bikes and frames for sale. You can get them for a really cheap price here. However, this is an option to consider if you are just looking for a very general type of frame and you don't mind doing a lot of work on it yourself. It is not the best option for getting a high quality frame.

Some individuals even choose to go to the junk yard to look for a frame. This is because there are often items that are in good condition that are just thrown away because individuals do not want them anymore. But, this is not a suggestion that you should go to a junk yard. You should keep in mind that not all junk yards are even open to the public, and it can put you into a dangerous situation if you do not know what you are doing.

Try asking some of your biking friends where they found their frames at. They may be able to give you a few places to look at or some other recommendations. You may even find some stores that you did not know were in the area. If they are interested in custom work, you might be able to work together on fixing your bikes up when you find some bicycle frames.

As you can see, there are many ways to find bicycle frames. These options should encourage you on your search. If you continue to look, you should have some luck. Hopefully you might even find a great frame for a discounted price. - 32193

Have You Noticed All The Wooden Bikes In Your Neighborhood?

By Noah Meckler

You may have noticed some of the kids in your neighborhood riding on wooden bikes lately. No, we're not taking a step backwards, we're actually finally taking a step in the right direction. These wooden bikes are called either running bikes or balance bikes and they're designed to help your kid have a better transition to a real bike. These wooden bikes are also very sturdy and light weight making it that much easier for you kid to learn how to balance himself.

One of the first things you may notice is that wooden bikes haven't any pedals. Learning how to pedal is a pretty basic skill that almost all kids will pick up within minutes. But the largest challenge is learning the way to balance themselves on a 2-wheeled bike. In the past we've given our children bicycles with training wheels to help them make this transition but those training wheels really defeat the purpose. Your kid learns to depend on those training wheels to keep him up rather than learning how to balance. And that is why so many kids are frightened and have a difficult time learning the way to ride a real bike.

But wooden balance bikes are different. Because they have no pedals and your child isn't forced to learn to balance while he's moving at a fast speed or pedaling, he will simply sit on the seat and either run or walk the bike to put it into motion. In the beginning you'll notice your child standing astride the bike and walking it. Then he'll gradually move to a sitting position and start lifting his feet to coast. And before you know it your kid has already learned the way to balance himself on his wooden balance bike.

Another good thing about these wooden balance bikes is that since your kid isn't traveling at a very fast speed and he is able to manage it better than a real bike, he can ride this bike indoors where you'll be able to keep a watchful eye on him or just enable him to learn without the danger of falling off into the street or the traffic.

Because these are wooden bikes they're very sturdy and very simple to clean. Simply wipe with a moist cloth or sponge. If cared for properly a wooden bike will last for years and every one of your kids can learn to ride on it before they move on to a bigger, two-wheel bike. They are easy to assemble and the seats are adjustable to suit any child.

Children love these bikes because of how quickly and easily they can progress to the 'Big Kid' bikes. Since they typically have both feet on the ground there is no danger of falling that you've got to worry about with traditional bikes so your child is much happier and much more willing to learn to ride. And because they're so light weight these wooden bikes are also easier for your child to control. So get rid of the training wheels and help your child learn to ride a bike with a wooden balance bike. - 32193

Exercise Bicycles Are The Easiest And Nippiest Way To Start A Daily Healthy Exercise Regime

By Eddie Lamb

There are great many of us that do not get as much exercise as we should. We make plans to join a gym or start eating healthy but after a few weeks most people give it up. Using exercise bicycles is a quick and convenient way to get the exercise needed. They come in a variety of styles and are a lot less expensive than joining a gym membership.

The most popular is an upright model or sometimes called a stationary bike. They are designed to be like the bikes that are normally ridden outside, except the bike itself remains in a stationary position. These models can be used either standing or sitting and are available with or without handlebars. They can be the least expensive of the indoor cycles and some have the capacity to be folded up for easier storage. The main focus of exercise is the legs.

A dual action model will provide a workout to both your legs as well as your arms. They have attached bars to use as the workout for your arms and the pedals for legs. These are slightly higher in price than an upright model; however, they are affordable and will give excellent results in a short period of time.

A recumbent model is among the newest designs. These machines are extremely comfortable while using and give great results to the muscles. The recumbent model was designed to provide the least amount of resistance while still providing results. They are perfect for anyone that has an injury and requires a physical therapy routine to help build the injured area.

These bikes can be found rather inexpensively and will sometimes be marked down in price during certain months of the year or when a new model becomes available. They are used for cardio workouts with great results as well as included in a general exercise routine.

One of the leading causes of death is heart disease. By eating healthy and beginning a daily exercise routine this can be beneficial to the prevention. Walking or running are excellent ways to get in a good cardio workout, however, the majority of us avoiding this due to weather. If it is to hot, to cold, rainy or snowing outside it makes tackling this simple chore difficult.

The exercise bicycle solves these problems. They provide the workout needed for good cardio health, can be done indoors and will be extremely beneficial to overall health. For people that find it difficult to schedule times for exercise, make the time during a television show that you watch daily. The bike is stationary so it can be used while watching a program. - 32193

Bicycling with Children on a Trailer Bike

By Nancy Sathre-Vogel

Bicycling with children can be even more fun on a trailer bike than in a trailer. It will depend on your child if she is big enough to ride a trailer bike. Most children will be able to graduate from a trailer to a trailer bike at around age 3 or 4.

A trailer bike (tag-along, trail-a-bike) is the next step up from a trailer. It is a one-wheeled contraption that hooks on to the back of your bike so your child can help you pedal. The basic requirement will be for her feet to reach the pedals - once she's that size, chances are she'll love being part of the team!

There are advantages and disadvantages of the trailer bike to consider:

Advantages:

Your child will struggle and sweat right along with you as you climb hills together as a team. When you reach the top, she will rejoice in the success - she knows she is not dead weight.

She can pedal when she wants. On the trailer bike, her pedals are independent of yours, so your child can pedal when she wants and take a break when she's tired.

Disadvantages:

In the trailer, it is easy to close the rain flap and keep the child protected from rain or cold. On the trailer bike, she is exposed to the elements.

Just like being lulled to sleep in a car, your child can easily fall asleep on her trailer bike. If you feel a jerking on your bike - stop!

Just as you can't grind up hills in a high gear, neither can she. Get a trailer bike with gears so your child can help you pedal up those killer hills.

Most likely, your child will love cycling with you on her trailer bike. It'll be a joy for both of you! - 32193

By Jack Bennington

Many people are getting interested in fitness again. Because there are so many warnings and new information about bad health habits, exercise is coming back in a big way. How people exercise is up to them, but it can be pretty expensive. Whether you're hoping to buy an exercise bike for your home or just wanting to know about them for gym use, a good cycling bikes review should tell you some important things.

A cycling bike is also called a stationary bike or recumbent bike. This is in reference to an exercise bike that doesn't move. It typically comes with two wheels and handle bars, a comfortable seat, pedals, gears, and a method of measuring how far its user has traveled.

Exercise bikes are convenient for home use because they do not take up as much room as a home fitness centre or expensive flexing machinery. An exercise bike is the same size as a normal bike, though it can be a bit bulkier if it has a lot of extra statistics measuring equipment. Even the bulkiest exercise bike can find a place inside the home.

A stationary bike at the gym will be one of the first things gym staff will introduce a newcomer exerciser to. Using this piece of equipment helps to pump up the body's systems, getting the blood going and the heart beating. An exercise bike is an essential part of cardiovascular training. It helps to burn off fat and calories and helps to increase the levels of oxygen in the blood before working out on other equipment.

Using a bike to exercise helps people maintain their motivation levels. Some people limit themselves in their training by finding any excuse to get out of their daily exercises. However, if someone has committed to using a bike, a stationary bike takes away excuses like weather.

Many people who use cycling bikes like the fact that though they are excellent for burning calories and getting rid of fat, they do not overly tax the mind. In many a gym, there is a separate room with treadmills and bikes and a television set hanging from the ceiling. While burning fat, it's possible to be entertained as well.

A good exercise bike will come with a well padded cushion, since users will spend a lot of time on it. It should also include a few important gadget like instruments as well. Speed is important, as people like to see their progress. Gears that can be switched to offer different degrees of difficulty also help people challenge themselves.

Some bikes can be fairly expensive. It all depends on what each person is looking for. Checking out a good cycling bikes review might help people to decide if they want to work out in the gym or at home, and what they really want from their bike. - 32193

Flat Bar Mens Road Bike Schwinn Volare

By John Doherty

I purchased Schwinn Volare bike a few days ago and can't be more pleased with the purchase. I think this bike is a great bike for beginners to use for commuting or recreational riding. Yes, you can get better, but not in the less than $250 or so range.

I personally bought Schwinn Volare to begin commuting to work and didn't want to put out a lot of money until I know for sure I will keep it up, later I can buy a new bike or upgrade the parts as they break. The short rides I've taken so far it rode very smooth, stopped very well, and the seat wasn't too bad for how hard it is.

Also it shifts well, the brakes are outstanding. The brakes adjust easily and exactly as to how you like them. Care should be taken until you are use to how well they will stop. This is not a competition bike. It is however a comfortable (with new seat) pleasant quality bike.

Assemblage was highly simple, and bicycle was available to ride without any other tuning of spokes, etc. Schwinn Volare bicycle is really very light at about 42 pounds with thin tires to pick up race quick. I love this bicycle, the shifting mechanism works precisely, easily to switch and bike ride very smooth.

It needed just a little adjustment to the derailers but that is normal for any new bike. Since then it's been running great and has needed nothing! Nice lightweight wheels and very decent entry level components make this a great value for the money, and the flat bar is very comfortable for city cruising!

All in the entire bike seems really solid, the welds on the frame are uniform, and the bike is very sharp. I give Schwinn Volare two thumbs up and highly recommend it. - 32193

Comfort Tandem Kent Dual Drive Bike

By John Doherty

Kent Dual Drive Tandem bike look really catchy. Compared to most bicycle-built-for-two which tend to be very long and big looking this one is much stylish with really nice design. It has silver fades into a gun-metal grey with a few red emphasizes and black holds, seats, tires, bottles etc...It's a good bike very nice looking.

Shifters are in the handle and smooth enough. One handle does the big shifting and the other handle fine tunes the shifting. The brakes are sufficient but not disc brakes but rather those little "v" brakes. Tires are large enough to give a smooth ride and in fact, were surprisingly easy to handle and navigate. You won't be taking quick turns with this as the bike is long but then again, it's not really designed with racing in mind.

The ride is smooth - much smoother than expected. Great cruiser. Can actually reach a decent speed but be sure to have plenty of braking space and don't take tight corners at the high speeds. All in all, a lot of fun for a couple with a terrific price. A wonderful bicycle! Set-up was straight forward and easy. Little adjustment needed for the derailleur or brakes. Many hours of enjoyment already spent on the bike. A great family edition. Lots of fun to ride. The ride is very smooth and the gear shift is very precise.

I am very enthusiastic bike rider. I have many miles have ridden on my road bicycle. I had some hesitations about the tandem bike especially for the price. It didn't disappoint me; I got exactly what I expected. The assemblage was easy and the bike performs extremely well. The shifting is a little tough, but acceptable, especially in this price range.

Also purchase of Kent Dual Drive Tandem bike is a good deal. The local bike stores had much more overpriced bicycles. They were as well not as good looking as this bicycle. The bike arrived with the front wheel, seats and the handgrip bars off, so I had to put them together but it didn't take me more than half an hour. Riding this bicycle is not hard at all compared to a normal mountain bicycle. You don't need to paddle it strong for it to run fast enough. The additional person on the back does not seem impact a lot the handling

Kent Dual Drive Tandem is not a master quality or overpriced bicycle...it is very much amended quality than most regular bicycles being sold-out there now and executes perfect on the road. Nevertheless super pleased with this deal. Smooth ride, great looking, holds up good over time. So if you're curious in all nice things of tandem cycling and want a bicycle to enjoy of, you can't go wrong with this one. Super bicycle for the money! - 32193

Road Bike GMC Denali

By Dave Williams

GMC Road bike should cost much more than it really did. Friend of mine couldn't believe when I told him the price. The gears are great .On down hill I hit 35 mph and reached 30 mph on level ground. The quality of this bike is just great and looks very solid.I have zero problems with shape quality. The welds appear safe, the bicycle looks safe, the seat tube fit very well. I was surprised how good the frame matches my 6'0" size.

My first feeling was that I got it problematic to have to reach down to use the brake system. I had used to that fast. My second impression was how elementary it was to go quick on this bike. The 63cm, black and silver Denali, rides actually quiet. I will tell that this bike is truly amazing for the price. I am indeed impressed with the quality for less than two hundred dollars.

I saw in a specialized bicycle store a bike appeared entirely exploited up that the seller wanted the price of three of the GMCs for. I realize I could have three new bikes, for the price of one bike that I wouldn't believe to get me round the block. I bought the Denali.Combine that with the aluminium frame, shimano derailleur and it executes really well. GMC Denali Road bike drives fast and appears really solid.

The seat is comfortable for a road bike, and the Denali pedals easily, making long rides a breeze. The kickstand is a welcomed addition (and removable for those who balk at kickstands). If you want a true bargain, have some tools/experience and are willing to tinker, get the Denali. It's a hoot to ride! The gear shifting appears to be fine overall to me, and conveniently placed on the handle bars. Because the bike is solid aluminum, it is fairly light and very durable.

The design of GMC seems to follow Ford Motor Company's "built tough" motto. So that's why the purchasers consider is that it is a bit heavier but stronger than different standard (bianchi, trek, giant) bikes. Unfortunately the price of some sort of composite: carbon and titanium frame bikes will cost you up $1500 new, at least)

Different aspect individuals will easy overlook is that the forks, unlike the frame, is built of steel so they're weightier than normal but this is because while aluminum is lighter than steel, it is too harder which would create for a bone jarring ride; the only real solution to this is to have 200-300$ completely carbon.

Overall I am very pleased with the bike GMC Denali. You just can't beat the price. The bike is lightweight, has very good gearing, and can be very fast. It goes better than it stops. Replacing several key components will improve the bike significantly. It is not perfect, but when you factor in the price, it is a great deal. - 32193

Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-Inch 3-Wheel Bike

By Dave Williams

Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-inch 3-Wheel is a very good bicycle at a great price. This bike is extremely easy rolling and pedaling. With just one speed you can average 7 to 8 mph. It is comfortable and has an extremely large basket to carry shopping. It is a very sturdy bike, the frame is put together so well you can't image it ever failing due to build quality and as long as you put it together properly, it should last you a very long time.

Schwinn Meridian bicycle is a very smart created bicycle .The maneuvers on tight places Are smooth and easy. Riding in traffic is safety and not a problem at all. The bike has big basket which is huge convenient for shopping and sport activities .The feeling of balance on three wheels is amazing.

I am very happy with how sturdy it is and how easy it is to ride. I have two young healthy dogs that need a lot more exercise then I could give them. So I bought the bike to exercise them with and it is working out better than I could have ever hoped. The bike is very sturdy so if the dogs pull hard to one side it doesn't budge.

The brakes of Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-inch 3-Wheel bike are just perfect and good working. You just need to share more time working on their adjustment. If you do that that's going to be good investment saving money to buy new pads.

The Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-Inch 3-Wheel Bike is great. It is a single speed bike that is well made and easy to pedal. It was easy to assemble.

Finally I would be glad to recommend Schwinn Meridian Adult 26-inch 3-Wheel bicycle to anyone. - 32193

Why Electric Bike Kits Are Becoming More Popular

By Garrick Baxter

The electric bike kit is a conversion equipment with battery powered electric motor that is used to convert a bicycle to an electric bike. The battery is rechargeable by simply plugging to the main electricity supply. Riding an electric bike is simple. You keep peddling until the electric motor kicks in. Then enjoy a stress free ride.

Personally, I believe that in these times of recession, one ought to prefer buying an electric bike conversion kit rather than opting for a brand new electric bike. This decision hs mant dvntages. One of them is that, this conersion kit is very cheap. Instead of spending a huge amount of money on electric bike, I would simply convert my bicycle to n electric one. I don't need fuel to power my bike. When it runs down I recharge and ride on.

Buying a conversion kit gives you a wider range of choice to suit your lifestyle. Bicycle manufactures are numerous compared to electric bike manufacturers, who are few. Any brand of bicycle can be converted.

An electric bike kit has another advantage. The electric bike is heavier than a bicycle converted to an electric bike. This makes riding very easy and comfortable.

The electric bike is recommendable for physical fitness exercises. If you are overweight and needs to burn some calories you can as well get an electric bike conversion kit. This kind of exercise mixed with pleasure can be very effective for management of certain ailments including hypertension, diabetes and arthritis.

The electric bike is a time saving machine for short distance trips. You don't need to waste time in the traffic, since any available space will get you through. During rush hours you can make use of your electric bike instead of wasting time, fuel and energy using a car. You don't even need a packing space.

In conclusion, implementing a conversion kit for your electric bike is more economical than purchasing a new electric bike. You simply buy an electric bike kit, install it on your bicycle and enjoy your ride. - 32193

Bicycles For Free - Where You Can Find Free Bicycles

By Garrett Brock

You can't get any cheaper than free! If you have been holding out on getting a bike because you don't have the money, then you have been waiting for no reason. It isn't hard at all to find a free bike. People give away bikes all the time, or worse, people sometimes even throw away their perfectly use-able bikes.

Every year, people give away their bikes because they don't need or want them anymore. This year you can be the person that benefits from someone else giving away their used bike.

The Internet is a great place to start your search for a free bicycle. There are two web sites in general that should be checked for bicycles that are being given away near you. Of course, you'll find much more free stuff being given away than just bicycles, so you should definitely check these out even if you don't want a free bicycle!

Freecycle.org - Join the group for your area and you'll be able to see all the free bikes (if there are any) and other stuff being given away around you. If you have stuff to give away, you can post it on here too. I gave away a skateboard that I wasn't using on Freecycle, and the kids that got it freaked out because they were so excited! It was a great feeling to give away something I wasn't using anymore to someone I knew would enjoy it!

The next site to check for free bicycles is Craigslist.com. This is a very popular site that is used by tons of people. While I like Freecycle.org because it focuses only on free stuff, Craigslist.com is used for much more than finding things being given away. Again, it depends on where you live, but for people living in or near a populated city, you should be able to eventually find someone that is giving away a bicycle on Craigslist.com. The "Free" section is located in the "For Sale" area.

Those are two great sites that you can often find a free bicycle on. If you can't find one right away, check back later, as you never know when someone will decide to give away their bicycle! - 32193
